Your adult frogs should be fed three times a week. Froglets should
be fed daily for maximum growth. Tadpoles should be fed twice a week. It is always better
to underfeed than overfeed, so err on the side of underfeeding until you have a firm idea
of how much your frogs eat. You should feed approximately 3 pellets per adult laevis, one
and one half pellets per adult tropicalis and one pellet per froglet. It should take your
frogs no more than 10 minutes to clear the water of food. If they seem hungry after they
have cleared the water, add a little more food. If after 10 minutes the frogs have not
cleared the water, net out the excess. Allow them several hours to digest before changing
the water.
Do not handle or inject the frogs on the day they are fed. This will
upset them, and they will vomit. Plan your experiments accordingly.
