There is no perfect dry food on the market, but
Nasco Frog Brittle
is the best we have found. They have adult pellets,
tadpole powder, and a new
juvenile
size that is ideal for the froglets (feed three pellets per froglet with this size).
Purina has a new pelleted food, Aqua Max (formerly Trout Chow), that we used for a while
but found the egg quality decreased. If you have a small number of frogs, we would
recommend feeding them meal gel of liver, heart and
vitamins, which we developed. It tends to be messy to make and requires some labor, but
the advantage is the animals are healthier.
The advantage of using pelleted food is that it is easy to feed to a
large colony.
