Housing While Laying

We use clear, 6 liter Tupperware tubs and plastic lids with air holes cut in. Be sure the lids are secure, as they are amazing at escaping. The frogs do very poorly outside of water. They will have a hard time recovering after only two hours on the floor. If you are doing an extract you will need to have her lay into 1xMMR. If you are harvesting for fertilizations or staged extracts, she can lay into your regular frog water. You should have the laying frogs in tanks of 2 liters per frog. If you are not collecting the eggs in the tub, change the water first thing in the morning, as it gets quite dirty. If you leave a frog in dirty water with rotting eggs for a prolonged time, she will get septicemic and die.
