The females should stay out of the colony for 24 hours
after egg collection. You should change the water twice a day during this
time. She should then go into a "Returns" tank where you can watch her for
several days before returning her to the main colony again. You can have the
density of the "Returns" tank at 2 gallons per frog and the water should be
changed daily. Provided her skin seems healthy, she is not bloated, and does
not continuously hang at the top of the tank, she can go back in the main
colony. We also like to increase the salt concentration of the return
tank to 20 mM.
